About

Serving Kirkland for Over 30 Years.

Dan Amundsen began his career at Juanita Firs Texaco in 1972. After working as a mechanic for only 6 years, Dan was given the opportunity to buy the station. With the help of his father, and at the age of only 22, Dan obtained ownership of Juanita Firs Texaco in 1978.

Since the day he bought the station, the company has been family-owned and operated. His father spent several years working the early mornings to help his son with the budding new business. His wife and children have worked with him for over 15 years, and his children continue to work with him to this day. Nearly all of his nieces and nephews, and a countless number of family friends have spent time working at Juanita Firs.

Many of the company’s employees have been around for over 10 years – some even longer than 20. They are all smart and talented individuals, dedicated to giving customers the highest quality of care.

Thanks to employees that are committed to creating an outstanding customer experience, Juanita Firs has received multiple awards recognizing the company as a national leader in service station excellence.

In 2002, Juanita Firs made the big transition from “Texaco” to “Shell”. Although the change was bittersweet, the company has successfully changed brands while retaining much of its original customer base.

For nearly 30 years we have been committed to providing our customers with the best care possible. We are thankful for the loyal customers that have made this business a success, and look forward to serving our neighborhood for many years to come.
